Are we serious?

As we start a new decade the problems of the past are not only catching up with us but reaching crisis levels.

Water and energy needs are at all time deficits even with new technologies being available to alleviate the supply shortages.

Water supplies can be supplemented both at coastal and inland sources via desalination. Energy needs can be met and even overridden by renewables and energy storage technologies that overcome the rural barriers.

The only conclusion then is either policy makers or disjointed financial models and mechanisms stand in the way of service delivery.
